525 valve sealant is an organically thickened synthetic ester developed to take advantage of the lubricating potential of molybdenum disulfide. This material has been specifically designed for suspensions of baryte, bentonite, and attapulgite clay in water or petroleum oil (drilling mud), and cement services. It provides dual resistance to aqueous and aliphatic hydrocarbon solutions over a wide temperature range, and minimizes the problems associated with sealant hardening and solids buildup due to its low-solids, oxidation resistant formulation.
